Ward two Ibarapa East football team have emerged winner of the Remi Oseni Unity Cup after securing a 2-1 comeback defeat against ward four team at the Eleruwa Stadium in Eruwa on Tuesday.
The unity cup which was to revive sporting activities in Ibarapa East/Ido federal Constituency and the state in general, and as part of Engineer Aderemi Oseni liberation program ahead of the 2023 general election.
First edition of Remi Oseni Unity Cup which was played between the twenty wards in the two local governments which constitutes the Federal Constituency came to an end on Tuesday 17th January 2023.
Ward two and four of Ibarapa East slugged it out to the final match before ward two emerges the winner of the unity cup.
The host of the competition, Engr. Remi Oseni made the kick off at the final match.
Oseni charged the football teams to keep focusing on their talents as well as their education.
He further encouraged them to keep the pursuit and make sure that priority is based on community service, disclosed that the final competition of Ayo Olopon will come up very soon.
Present at the event are; Chief T.A Jolaosho, Elder Dayo Adeola, His Eminence S.A Aderounmu, Elder Segun Kolawole, Hon. Lanre Olaosegba, Hon Jacob Akintola, House of Assembly Candidate for state House of Assembly member for Ibarapa East and Ido, Hon. Bayo Aderounmu and Hon. Idowu Raheem respectively among others.
