Empowerment is not merely about giving people power, it is about igniting the fire within them to create lasting, positive change. This spirit of empowerment was vividly displayed on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, when the Project 100 Ambassadors for a Drug-Free Society team paid a courtesy visit to Odeoba Primary Health Centre in Iseyin, Oyo State, as part of its ongoing advocacy engagements.
The highlight of the visit was the conferment of the African Ambassador for Drug-Free Society title on Mrs. Rotimi Adenike Titilola, fondly known as Nurse Titilola, in recognition of her exceptional leadership, integrity, and dedication to community development. The atmosphere at the health centre was charged with excitement and admiration as colleagues and well-wishers celebrated her contributions to promoting health and moral values within her community.
The ceremony was graced by the distinguished presence of Dr. Oluwole Oyewumi, who delivered an inspiring address commending both the honouree and the Project 100 team. Dr. Oyewumi praised the initiative as a transformative step toward a drug-free generation and pledged his full support and collaboration to ensure its continued success.
In her acceptance remarks, Nurse Titilola expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Project 100 team and Dr. Ojewola, the project leader, for their commitment to societal transformation. She reaffirmed her dedication to youth empowerment and vowed to intensify advocacy for a drug-free society across all platforms within her influence.
Among those present at the event were Master Titilola Samod (the celebrant’s son), Mr. Oyetunji Oluwatosin, Mr. Olayiwola Femi, Mr. Gbadegesin Micheal, and Mrs. Rachael Oyeleye. The Project 100 delegation included Babajide Ojediran and Ambassador Akintayo Oluwatobi.
As part of the broader Project 100 initiative, the team announced plans to distribute 10,000 copies of Uncaged—a transformative publication designed to empower young people with the knowledge and resilience needed to resist substance abuse. Through this effort, the project aims to reach youth across Oyo State, inspiring them to live healthy, drug-free lives and become catalysts for positive change in their communities.
The Project 100 Ambassadors for a Drug-Free Society continues to champion the vision of a safer, healthier, and more prosperous Nigeria, one community at a time.
