The Oyo State Chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS JCC OYO) has sent an open letter to the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) on the need to improve the service quality and accountability of operations.
In an open letter signed by the Chairman of the Axis, Comrade Ridwan Adegoke Pal-Solution and made available to our media outlet on Thursday.

An Open Letter On The Need For Improved Services And Accountability
The leadership of all students in Oyo State tertiary institutions and by extension, the community with the highest population percentage in the State writes to condemn totally the poor power conditions in the state and that we are not happy with the service rendered by the electrical company headed by you.
The general public of Oyo State are frustrated with the state of the electricity supply. Not only have we experienced regular power outages, the sophisticated quality of electricity been transmitted coupled with the outrageous bills and the poor service delivery.
The situation which has affected the economic atmosphere, infrastructural growth and lots of development in our State. Many private and public institutions have folded up as their businesses or operations couldn’t survive with the epileptic power conditions which is unsustainable.
As a body that agitates for the interest of the masses, we are giving you a two days ultimatum to either give a comprehensive statement on the reasons behind the continuous blackout or effect actions immediately to improve the quality of services and consumers reliability.
The entire students in the State will not hesitate to move our secretariat to your head office if at the expiration of the ultimatum the situation remains the same.
We hope that you treat this urgently to save the obstruction of other operations of your company.
