Abuja Visit Sparks Nationwide Campaign for a Substance-Free Society
The Best Brain Initiative for Human Development (BBIHD) has concluded a highly successful week-long working visit to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to fostering a drug-free society. Under the leadership of Executive Director Amb. Dr. Ojewola, the BBIHD delegation engaged in strategic partnerships and advocacy efforts aimed at combating substance abuse nationwide.
The BBIHD team, comprising Ojediran Babajide, Areegbe Mayowa, and Muhammed Buhari Ismail, dedicated their visit to advancing the organization’s mission of promoting healthy, drug-free communities. A significant highlight of the visit was the launch of Amb. Dr. Ojewola’s new advocacy book, UNCAGED. The book’s compelling message on the importance of a drug-free society resonated with policymakers, influencers, and stakeholders, sparking meaningful conversations and laying the groundwork for new collaborations.
Honoring Africa’s Ambassadors for a Drug-Free Society
In a special recognition ceremony, BBIHD honored individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the cause, officially decorating them as Africa Ambassadors for a Drug-Free Society. The newly appointed ambassadors are:
- Amb. Victor Lawal: Youth activist and Senior Legislative Aide to Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass
- Hon. Ganiyu Yusuff: Legislative Aide to Sen. Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, representing Oyo South Senatorial District
- Amb. Abubakar Maitumaki: Representative from YAFODA, Kano
- Revd. Rotshak Daniel: Representative from Significant Life Initiative, Plateau
