Youths Condemn Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Governing Council, Demands Appointment of Substantive Management

Youths of Eruwa in Ibarapa East Local Government on Monday, staged a peaceful protest at the entrance of the Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic gate, to demand the appointment of substantive management in the institution and removal of the Chairman Governing Council, Professor Ogundiran.

They rejected the appointment of Dr. Akinteye who happens to be the former deputy acting rector as acting rector and demanded his immediate removal.

The youths, who carried placards with various inscriptions, such as “We demand the removal of Governing Council Chairman”, We need substantive management in AOPE”, “Acting Management in Three Years is a Scam”, “The Governing Council Chairman is trading the institution for personal gain”, marched through major roads and blocked the main gate to the campus.

Speaking, one of the youths, Comrade Kunle Adebola, explained they were agitating for the appointment of a substantive management to head the institution.

Another youth, Sola Adeyemi appealed to Governor Makinde to pick from the many qualified able professors in Eruwa to head the polytechnics so as to relate well with the community.

Also, Muyiwa Oladejo, who spoke on behalf of the Youths of Eruwa, commended the state government led by Governor Seyi Makinde, he further demand that his Excellency should install a substantial management in the institution.

Speaking further, Oladejo said, the Incumbent Governing Council has appointed three acting managements in three years which is not supposed to be. We implore the government to give us a substantive management to promote the school.
