
The College Management, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo has approved the appointment of Dr. Wole Idowu Akinlabi as the new Dean, Student Affairs. He is to replace Mr. Isaac Oluwatoyin Ogundare whose tenure ended on Friday, 18 February, 2022.
In a release made available by the Special Assistant on Media Matters to the Provost, ‘Wale Adeoye, Dr. Wole Akinlabi, an Ibadan indigene, attended C.A.C Primary School, Iroko and Iroko Community Grammar School, Ibadan for his primary and secondary education respectively. He later attended St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo where studied Technical Education and graduated in 1994. He thereafter proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka for his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technical Education (Building) between 1999-2002 and University of Benin, Benin City for his Master of Education in Technical Education between 2007-2012. He got a Certificate in Computer Training from the Federal College of Education, Oyo in 2008. He capped it up with a Ph.D in Technology Education (Building Technology) between 2015-2021.

Dr. Wole Akinlabi, an alumnus of the College, joined the service of the College on 7 September, 2006 as an Assistant Lecturer after serving briefly with the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission between 2003-2004. He rose through the ranks to become a Principal Lecturer having served as Sub-Dean, Students Affairs in Isokun Campus and in numerous College Committees.
In his parting words, the Immediate Past Dean, Student Affairs, Mr. Isaac Oluwatoyin Ogundare thanked the Provost, Dr. Rasak Adetunji Adefabi and the College Management for the opportunity given him to serve as Dean, Student Affairs. According to him, “To God alone be the glory for His grace and mercy that I enjoyed for the past four (4) years as the Dean, Students Affairs of this College. I return all glory to Him for the successful completion of my two-term tenure from February 19, 2018 to February 18, 2022. I thank the Provost, Dr. Rasak Adetunji Adefabi and the College Management for the opportunity given me to serve as Dean, Student Affairs. I equally thank every member of the College Community. I must confess, I really appreciate your unflinching support throughout the four years. Kindly extend more support than what I enjoyed from you to the new Dean, Student Affairs. God bless you all”, he submitted.

In a similar development, the College Management has graciously appointed new Sub-Deans, Student Affairs for Schools. They are to work with the new DSA in the Students Affairs Division. The new Sub-Deans are:
i. Mr. Adeola Araoye- School of Secondary Education (Vocational & Technical Education/ Languages) NCE & Degree
ii. Mr. Habeeb A. Sheu- School of Secondary Education (Arts & Social Sciences) NCE & Degree
iii. Mr. Mutairu A. Rasheed- School of Secondary Education (Science/ Early Childhood and Care Education) NCE & Degree
iv. Mr. O. O. Olaniyan- School of Education, NCE & Degree
The Provost, Dr. Rasak Adetunji Adefabi, JP in his congratulatory message to the new officers enjoined them to justify the confidences reposed in them by serving the College more committedly and diligently.
