To Sustain, Crumble The Legacy Of My Father Will Be Based On My Performance, Bayo Aderounmu Tells Constituents
The House of Assembly Candidate under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ibarapa East State Constituency, Hon Bayo Aderounmu has revealed to members of his Constituency that he will sustain the legacy built for him politically.
Aderounmu while feeding questions in an online political debate organized by EYM Live Updates on Sunday said, “I agree to the fact that a legacy had been built by my dad politically, to sustain or crumble the legacy is based on my performance if I emerge and I will definitely choose to sustain the legacy and even surpass what he had done over the years by representing the community effectively.”
“Considering the present situation of our constituency, ranging from under-development, unemployment, insecurity, poverty, poor leadership and more, I have decided to package a transformative agenda which will redeem the density.
“If elected, my representation will focus basically on the following agendas with the acronym WESTERN; Women and social development, Education, Security, Tourism, Effective Representation, Road Infrastructure & Health and New Approach to Agriculture.”
“We shall facilitate the establishment of an educational foundation to assist indigent students with bursaries to enable them to acquire education at all levels. If elected to represent the constituency, we shall provide qualitative and affordable education for all citizens, build more classrooms, employ sufficient teaching personnel and secure modern gadgets for the existing schools.
“There are enough places which can be used as tourism centre in our constituency which will equally generate revenue for us internally. Such business that will provide services for people on holiday, for example hotels, restaurants, and trips. We have rivers, hills, forest and so many things that people will value as tourism items.”
The House of Assembly hopeful also said, “the community or the political parties are key and they both surpass my personal ambition so if am asked to work for concensus I have no choice than to agree and obey
When asked about the issues that surrounded the primary election of his party, he said he agree that there were issues during the primaries.
Aderounmu said, “We should understand that primaries could come in three forms either through concensus, direct or indirect. This is a party affairs and we sorted it out within ourselves and moved on.”
He added that he’s presently doing the electrification of Idi Ata community and will be commissioned in few weeks.
