Tinubu Campaign DG, Jibrin Accepts Reconciliation Moves, May Not Leave APC
The Director General of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential Campaign, Abdulmumini Jibrin Kofa whom yesterday disclosed that he has done his best for APC and “Its time to move on,” might have accepted a reconciliation offer in the House of Representative’s contest crises in Kiru/Bebeji Constituency, which forced him to announce his departure from the Party.
The former Committee chairman on Appropriation in the green chamber had said via his social media platforms that “I will announce my new political party within the next 24 hours insha Allah. I will make a formal statement in due course.”
But according to a report by Daily Post, Mr. Jibrin has accepted the reconciliatory moves scheduled to hold, Sunday at the instant of Governor Ganduje. “I’m ready for dialogue”, he quipped.
Governor Ganduje had directed the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to immediately take measures to amicably resolve the internal differences among interested aspirants in the Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency, which had resulted in Kofa’s exit from the party.
To this end, the party secretariat summoned a stakeholders’ meeting to discuss the situation in the constituency.
A statement signed by the chairman of the state chapter of the party, Abdullahi Abbas revealed that an invitation has been sent to all the aspiring candidates for the position.
It said Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa has already accepted the proposal and is ready to attend the meeting.
Abbas, in the statement, called on the parties to remain calm and cooperate with the APC to resolve the internal crisis and further assured that the meeting would come up with a position acceptable to all the aspirants.
The former lawmaker was reportedly on his way to NNPP, the new political party of the former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
