Some students under the auspices of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have continued their protest against the lingering strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The students occupied the Murtala Muhammad international airport highway in the Ikeja axis of Lagos on Monday morning in a protest that resulted in gridlock — halting the vehicular movement in and out of the airport.
In a viral videos, the protesters, in their hundreds, are seen calling on the federal government to meet the demands of ASUU to enable them to return to school.
They also displayed placards with various inscriptions, while chanting solidarity songs.
