The member representing Ido/Ibarapa East in the House of Representatives and Chairman, Hose Committee on FERMA, Eng Aderemi Oseni has reacted to the death of the Ibadan born Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello.
In a release, personally signed by him, he described the news of the death of the late Cleric as shocking and unbelievable.
“I received, with rude shock, the news of the passing away unto glory, of our Father, erudite scholar and Pillar of the Islamic Religion in Nigeria, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello.
I had to make several calls to check the authenticity of the sad news before I came to the reality that we have indeed lost the Great Man.
What a time to lose such a fearless Preacher.
Baba was a courageous Preacher of high moral standards who would tell truth to all manner of people without fear or favor.
He was a unifier and a liberal Religious Leader who made friends across different Religions.
He demonstrated total commitments to the cause of Allah and humanity.
Baba’s passing, at this very crucial time will definitely create a void that is very difficult to fill.
I pray to Almighty Allah to grant him Aljana Fridaus, while also praying that God gives his immediate family members, the Olubadan of Ibadan Land and the good people of Ibadan, the Islamic Communities in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria and ofcourse, Africa, the fortitude to bear the great loss.”
