Reject Doctored Video Sponsored to Discredit Our Candidate, Team Skimeh Reacts to Trending Video

A political team loyal to Hon. Akeem Adeyemi, member representing Oyo federal constituency at the green chamber, Team Skimeh has urged the people to reject alleged propaganda and false claims by the opposition ahead of the elections and vote for their candidate.

A spokesperson of Team Skimeh, Ajibade Ibraheem Oyewole confirmed to our reporter that the video was recorded at the eve of 2019 election.

“The video in circulation was recorded when Isale-Oyo people were having their Pseudo-Celebration at the eve of last election.

“They were celebrating Akinlabi Kamil at distance third, when they were leading their delayed results of ward 8 and 9 of Atiba local government to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office.

“Seeing the video as it trends recently gives it a political tone, no doubt it is sponsored by the opposition to discredit the candidacy of Hon Akeem Adeyemi who is the choice of the majority”, Ajibade added.

Son of the late Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Prince Akeem Adeyemi, was re-elected for another term of four years to represent Afijio, Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West federal constituency in 2019.

Akeem Adeyemi defeated his biological brother, Prince AbdulFatai Adeyemi who came second and two former House of Representatives’ members , Hon. Kameel Akinlabi and Hon. Moroof Akinwande (third and fourth respectively) to win the seat.
