Progressive Lost A Great Icon, Adewusi Commiserate Demise Of Chief Lasunsi

Ex-Post Master General of the Federation, Dr. Ismail Adebayo Adewusi has described the death of Chief Silas Lasunsi as a loss for the progressive family, community and nation at large.

In a statement signed by Ojediran Biodun, a special aide to the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) ex-boss, said the demise had marked the end of an eventful era of a politician”.

“This is a great loss to all, particularly the progressive family, Idere Community and Ibarapa where Chief Lasunsi made his marks.

“Baba was a strong, dedicated and committed progressive, he contributed immensely from his wealth of experience and commitment to the development of Ibarapa.

“Chief Lasunsi did not just build bridges among people of different communities in Ibarapa and outside the state.

“While he was on earth, he distinguished himself in the progressive fold where he played a critical role towards the development of the zone and Oyo state.

It added that Chief Lasunsi will be remembered for his contributions to the growth of our community, leadership prowess in the progressive.

Also prayed that God grant the deceased eternal rest and comfort his family community and the progressive.

Chief Silas Lasunsi died on Thursday after a brief illness. He was aged 97.
