Popular Comedian, Mr Macaroni Reacts To Death Threat Over Planned Protest

Nigerian comedian, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni has raised alarm over a death threat to his life for planning to lead a protest.

The Instagram skit maker among other Nigerians had planned to protest to stop Tolling at the Lekki-Ikoyi link Bridge.

The Lekki Concession company had announced that tolling will resume at the Lekki toll gate on the 1st April, 2022 after it was suspended following outburst by Nigerians, seeking justice for those that were killed at the toll gate during the #EndSars protest.

After announcing the planned protest on Twitter, Mr. Macaroni received a death threat from a Twitter user, Prince Tiamiyu, who vowed to kill him on sighting him at the toll gate.

The user wrote, “This Macaroni of guy will most likely end his life untimely because of foolishness…Very senseless unpatriotic bastard…what’s his business with Lekki Toll Gate…I pray I get hold of him tomorrow at the Toll Gate I will k!ll him on sight…”

Reacting to the death threat, Mr. Macaroni wrote, “This is one of many threats I receive regularly.
Nigerian Police and Lagos state Government… I love you, and I know you love me too.“
