PDP To Conduct Emergency Primary In Edo North Senatorial District

The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Repeat Primary Committee has assured of a level playing ground for Aspirants participating in the emergency National Legislative Congress taking place in Edo North Senatorial District of Edo State.

This was conveyed by the five man Emergency Committee led by its Chairman, Daniel Obiora at the PDP State Secretariat in Benin City.

The State Party Chairman Anthony Aziegbemi gave reasons for the urgent conduct of another primary in Edo North Senatorial District.

He explained that Victoria Edelokun, winner of the initial exercise held on May 23, 2022 withdrew from the race for personal reasons.

The primary is expected to produce a candidate who will represent the Senatorial district made up of six Local Government Areas, at the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
