The Omo Iya Kunmi Foundation (OIKF) has officially opened applications for the 5th Annual Free Vocational Training and Skills Acquisition Programme, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to empowering individuals through practical, income-generating skills.

Since its establishment, the foundation has positively impacted the lives of more than 600 beneficiaries across Oyo Federal Constituency and neighboring communities, equipping them with technical expertise, business knowledge, and the confidence to become self-reliant entrepreneurs.

Over the past five years, the Omo Iya Kunmi Foundation has emerged as a symbol of grassroots empowerment and sustainable development.

“To the glory of God, Omo Iya Kunmi Foundation has facilitated the training of not less than 600 individuals from within and outside Oyo Federal Constituency,” said a foundation representative.

The success of the past editions has created a ripple effect of transformation, as many past participants have launched small-scale enterprises and are now contributing to the local economy. This year’s edition promises to build upon that legacy with an even more impactful and inclusive programme.

The 5th edition, scheduled for December 15–17, 2025, will feature a rich lineup of skill areas carefully selected to promote immediate economic independence and entrepreneurial sustainability. Participants will be trained in the following vocational fields:

  • Culinary & Beverage Craft: Beverage production including tigernut milk, kunnu, smoothies, and zobo.
  • Craftsmanship: Bead making and turban headdress design.
