Olubadan Coronation: Markets in Ibadanland to be Shut
The Babaloja-General of Oyo State, Asiwaju Yekeen Abass, has congratulated the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on his ascension to the throne.
In a statement personally signed by him on behalf of the Market Leaders’ Council, zonal executives, and traders across the state, Asiwaju Abass expressed joy over the historic occasion and prayed for a peaceful and prosperous reign that would bring growth and development to Ibadanland and Oyo State at large.
As part of the celebration, the Babaloja-General announced that all markets within the eleven local government areas of Ibadanland, both in the main city and the outskirts, will be closed on the coronation day, Friday, September 26. He explained that the closure is a mark of honor and respect for the revered monarch.
He further urged traders to attend the coronation ceremony at Mapo Hall, the official venue of the event, to show solidarity and support for the new Olubadan.
In addition, Asiwaju Abass extended warm birthday wishes to the Royal Father, praying for long life, good health, and many more years of fruitful service to the people.
