Okanlawon Foundation release Four Million for Winners of Annual Competition, Others on Personal Request

Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF) through the founder has released the sum of four million naira to the winners of the last Competition organized in December by the organization and to some indigenes of Ibarapa that have made their personal requests to the foundation.

This was contained in a statement released by the Personal Assistant to the founder of OOF, Oladele Qudus on Monday.

Evidence of Four Million Naira transferred to the Foundation Account

Oladele said the founder had since Friday, January 8 credited the foundation account with the sum of four million naira and the disbursements has commence to beneficiaries accordingly.

He made this known in a telephone conversation with our correspondent,  shortly after he started disbursing the funds.

Recall that the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation at the end of 2021 organized her annual program which features Ibarapa Marathon Race, Ibarapa Unity Football Competition, Ayo Olopon and Draught Competition for males and females.

Sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira for 1st Position in Unity Cup

At the grand finale of the events held at Ayelogun Grammar School, Idere, Engr (Dr) David Olusegun Okanlawon said the prizes will be disbursed before January 15, 2022.

Oladele said, “Not less than 150 male and female athletes participated in the 19km marathon race, from Igangan Roundabout to Baptist High School, Ayete.

2nd Position in Unity Cup

“The winner of the marathon race for the male category, Adelakun Adesola (from Idere) who finished the 19km race within 73 minutes (1 hour, 13 minutes). In the female category, Makinde Maisarat (from Tapa) came first, finishing the race within 94 minutes (1 hour, 34 minutes), the winner of 2020 edition of the same category.

“Muibudeen Sheriff (Tapa) and Raheem Samad (Igboora) came second and third, respectively in the male category of the marathon race. For the female category, Okesola Fowomola (Igboora) and Odebode Jumoke (Eruwa) were the runner-up and 2nd runner-up, respectively.

“Two female participants that arrived the marathon end point before the adjudged third position, Odebode Jumoke, were disqualified because we discovered that they were given bike rides along the way.

“The third-place in the Ibarapa Unity Cup held between Okanlawon FC and Igboora Super Babes with the former defeating the latter on a goal to nil.

“Lanlate FC defeated Igangan United FC on a goal to nil to emerge champions of the 2021 Ibarapa Unity Cup. The victory made Lanlate champions of the competition for two consecutive years, having won it in 2020.

“We have been able to disburse cash prize for the winners of the competitions. For the Ibarapa Unity Cup, the prize of N200,000, N150,000, N100,000, N50,000, N20,000 designated for the first, second, third, fourth, fifth to eighth positions respectively.

“In the Marathon Race for males and females, the sum of N100,000, N70,000, N50,000, N5,000 for the first, second, third, fourth to tenth positions respectively.

“For the African Board Game (Ayo Olopon), comprising of males and females categories. The sum of N45,000, N25,000, N15,000 for first, second and third positions respectively while all other participants were rewarded with tokens.

“Also, winners of the draught game for males were given the sum of N45,000, N25,000, N15,000 for first, second and third positions respectively while all other participants were rewarded with tokens.

“Kindness if not not repay, should be appreciated. Our people should always encourage those doing well for the community. That’s enough to bring other people who are willing to do on board. If we continue to attack those developing the community with their hard earned income all because of politics, that will not help us as a community. We have a lot of people holding political offices that are not checked, but our people just chose to attack the person of Okanlawon because of his good deeds that is touching the nooks and crannies of our dear zone. I want to advice our people to desist from politics of bitterness, we should learn how to appreciate cheerful donors”, Oladele added.
