Okanlawon Congratulates Olayide Abas On Appointment As New Acting, APC Chairman

Chairman of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF) and house of representatives candidate in Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency during the 2023 general election, Engr. (Dr) David Olusegun Okanlawon has congratulated Alhaji Moshood Olayide Abas, the former Deputy Chairman, for his emergence as the New Acting Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC in Oyo State.

The Oyo State APC has announced Alhaji Moshood Olayide Abas as its new acting chairman following the death of former Chairman, Barrister Isaac Omodewu.

The decision was taken at an emergency meeting held on Monday at the APC Party Secretariat,Oke Ado, Ibadan.

Okanlawon, in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday by his media aide, Adedokun Sunday Harshasha, extolled Olayide Abas on his achievement, while urging him to use his wealth of experience for the progress of the party.

He said, “I heartily congratulate our leader,  Alhaji Moshood Olayide Abas, the former APC deputy chairman as the new acting chairman of our party.

“Let me on behalf of the progressive family in Ibarapa and Oyo State congratulate the new acting chairman, you are welcome on board. We have confidence that you will use your wealth of experience to influence the party positively by leading our party to a victorious era and more achievements,” he added.
