The National Association of Nigerian Students of Oyo State Chapter (NANS JCC Oyo Axis) has suspended its planned protest against the state government.
The decision comes days after the association executives in a press conference vowed to hold a planned protest on Wednesday and after the State Government failed to identify with students community as alleged by the association.
The protest suspension which was revealed in a press statement was made available by the Chairman of the Association on Wednesday read thus;

The Leadership of NANS JCC Oyo Axis write to Inform the general Public and Entire Students in Oyo State that the 7 days uptimatum given to the Executive Governor of Oyo State in regards our Demands for the Benefits of Entire Students in Oyo State lapsed today, since we did the Press Conference the Attention of the State Government has been drawn to our Demands and we have reach some levels of Understanding with the State Government and Attention has been given to our Request that is why we are calling the entire Students in Oyo State to be patient as we are waiting for Proper arrangements by the State Government towards the Demands.
Since our Demands are not bias or Political, the Interest and Welfare of Nigerian Students in Oyo State is our top most priority and we shall not stop until victory is certain..
We hereby call on all aluta structure as regards the Protest and put on hold all arrangements for the next five days while we continue the Discussions.
If for this five days, nothing comes out positive, we shall be occupying the street as from monday 17 October 2022..
