NANS PRESIDENT, OLUSHOLA OLADOJA VISITS EMMANUEL ALAYANDE VARSITY; RATES VICE-CHANCELLOR, ‘LANRE OLANIYAN-LED-MANAGEMENT HIGH

‎It was a glorious event on Wednesday, as the Vice-Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan received the National President, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Olushola Oladoja who was on a courtesy visit to the foremost educational institution.

‎In his address, the NANS President, Comrade Olushola Oladoja appreciated the Vice-Chancellor on the giant strides he has recorded since his assumption of office. “Mr. Vice-Chancellor Sir, I am happy today to visit your institution as the number 1 student of the federation, having visited many other institutions on a familiarisation visit. Let me report that the warm reception accorded my team and I by our colleagues was excellent. Having been conducted round the campus, I thumb up for you and score your Management high on the developmental strides which include the new road network round the school, new University Health Centre, rehabilitated lecture rooms among others. I am happy that students welfare is topmost to you in the report given to me. Permit me to specially laud President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the NELFUND initiative, which has brought a great relief to Nigerian students. Let me round off by telling you my colleagues that only through collective efforts and focused leadership can the EAUED student community become stronger and more vibrant”, he submitted.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, who was flanked by the Dean, Student Affairs, Dr. Wole Akinlabi, expressed his delight in receiving the NANS President and his team. He specially commended the SSA/Student Matters to the Oyo State Governor, Comrade Victor Olojede for the great work he his doing. “Mr. NANS President, I welcome you to our university, which incidentally is your university. This is a foremost university that started as a Teachers’ Grade III college over 150 years now. Series of transitions over the years changed its status to a university. I thank our Visitor and Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE for his love for our university. Today, all the positive strides you are seeing are attributable to the enabling environment created by our amiable Governor. We are most grateful for your visit and wish you a safe trip back to your destination”.

In his brief remarks, the SSA/Student Matters to the Governor, Comrade Victor Olojede appreciated the VC for the warm reception given to the NANS President and his team.

The event had in attendance, student leaders across the State who all trooped out to receive the No 1 student in Nigeria.
