Iseyin-Ogbomosho Road: A commendable project. Can Ibarapa be considered too?
Reacting to the 76.7km Iseyin-Ogbomosho road recently awarded by Governor Seyi Makinde, Engr. David Olusegun Okanlawon (Founder, Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation) has applauded the Governor’s thoughtfulness. He was also quick to register his hopes that Ibarapa region would not be left out of the state’s developmental plan.
“I will like to remind the Governor to consider Ibarapa as a part of the State that deserves the implementation of such developmental plans,” he said.
Okanlawon lauded the efforts of the Oyo State Government for embarking on sustainable development projects in the state.
He noted that of all the 5 geo-political zones in Oyo State, Ibarapa is the only region that is yet to have even a meter-length of dual-carriage way. He recommended that dualization of the Igboora – Iganna road can birth development in Ibarapa and Oyo State as a whole.
“I encourage our Governor to consider Ibarapa a worthy zone to receive such magnanimous developmental projects,” he concluded.
