
A pressure group, Inumidun Vicinity Club in Oyo town has lauded the philanthropic gesture by Alhaji Semii Gbagere popularly known as Danbaba, who embarked on rehabilitation of the Oroki road leading to Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Erelu Campus in Oyo.
The road had been in deplorable state for years, movements on it had become a nightmare to road users as a result of the worsening condition.
Residents have been lamenting that they spend several hours on the road while moving. Hence, Oroki people has been agog celebrating Danbaba for his intervention.


The Chairman of the club, Lawal Oriyomi, who lauded the philanthropist expressed gratitude for the rehabilitation of Oroki to Emmanuel Alayande College road.
“With the condition of the road at present, commuters can move freely within the spate of time, and we are urging the local and state government to intensify efforts in reconstructing the road. Without him, we wouldn’t have had it easy to move as we are.
“As a group, we are registering our hearts of appreciation to the man who has been helping us in the rehabilitations of our roads, he did the same thing for us last year to ease the movements of the people, this year he has done what the government has abandoned.
“We believed in the leadership of Engr Seyi Makinde as a lover of the state with a listening heart, we humbly charge him to consider us in the reconstruction of the road”.
