Idere Community Lost A Rare Gem, House Of Representatives Hopeful Okanlawon Mourns Pa Lasunsi

The Accord Party candidate for the Federal House of Representatives in Ibarapa Central/North Constituency, Engr. (Dr) David Olusegun Okanlawon has commiserated with the people of Idere and well wishers over the death of a progressive chieftain, Chief Silas Okunlola Lasunsi who died on Thursday after brief illness.

Okanlawon who expressed sympathy through a message shared on his social media handle and made available to our correspondent said Idere Community has lost a rare gem.

He said, “I join the entire Idere community to share in this grief over the demise of a passionate community builder, a leader per excellence, Chief Silas Lasunsi who slept in the Lord today, 13th of October, 2022.

“Baba was an astute leader, an upright person worthy of emulation. He dedicated his entire life to human and community development and such is seen in his track records of sustainable developmental facilitations during his time in active community services.

“Idere community loss a rare gem. Our prayers are that may he rest eternally in the Bossom of the Lord and may the family be granted the fortitude to bear this loss.”
