ICAN Presents N3.6M Cheque To Widow of Late Timothy Adegoke

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) on Friday presented a cheque of N3.6 million to the widow of Late Adegoke Timothy, who was murdered in his hotel room in Osun.

The delegates presented the cheque during a visit to the widow and children of the late Timothy by the duo of Prince Oyebade Oyedepo (FCA) and Mr. Bola Feruke (FCA) who represented the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

President of the Institute, Mrs Comfort Olu Eyitayo (FCA), made a phone call to the widow, parents of the deceased and members of the family present to console them.

Contributions made by ICAN members in the sum of N3,600,000 (Three million and six hundred thousand naira) was officially presented to Mrs Victoria Bolatito Adegoke, widow of the slain member of ICAN, Late Timothy Adegoke, ACA.

The ICAN delegates Prince Oyebade Oyedepo (FCA) and Mr. Bola Feruke (FCA) were received  by the Chairman of Eruwa Council of Elders and Jagun of Anko, Chief Peluola (FCA), the President of Eruwa Youth Movement, Mr. Ibrahim Okunlola and family members.

Adegoke Timothy, an Obafemi Awolowo University Postgraduate Student, was murdered in his hotel room in Osun.

Timothy had lodged at Hilton Hotels and Resorts in Ile-Ife, Osun State upon his arrival from Abuja on November 5, 2021, to enable him to arrive early for his examination at the OAU Distance Learning Centre, Moro, in the state, on November 6th and 7th 2021.

He later went missing and was found dead buried in a shallow grave following an investigation by the Police, with the hotel owner, Dr Rahman Adedoyin and its workers arrested as suspects.
