
The indigenous students association of Ibarapa, Federation of Ibarapa Students Association (FIBSA) has elected new executives after the expiration of the Comrade Ogunjobi Feranmi Dimeji led administration.
The election which was conducted on Saturday 18th December 2021 at Idere in Ibarapa Central Local Government Area.
SpyGist Media gathered that out of seven communities that constitute the association, six were ably represented with equal delegates. Lanlate, Eruwa, Idere, Ayete, Tapa, Igangan students registered their interest in the just concluded election while students of Igboora pulled out of the process.

Comrade Gabriel Timileyin Michael from Ayete emerge the National President of the association with 12 votes while his closest rival Comrade Musa Kilanko from Tapa has 3 votes and Comrade Oguniyi Waliu from Igangan has no vote.
Others are Ademuyiwa Adejare (General Secretary), Jimoh Idris (AGS), Adeniji Ebenezer (Treasurer), Igbalola Muyiwa (Financial Secretary), Olojede Damilola (Social Director), Sikiru Jelili (PRO), Egunjobi Victor (Vice President), Ewuola Kehinde (Welfare Director), Akinlade Tomiwa (Senate President), Agbedeyi Tobi (DSP), Odesise Samuel (Clerk), Adeagbo Boluwatife (Chief Whip).

Speaking after the election, the Electoral Chairman, Comrade Adepoju Lawrence said this is the most credible election in the history of the students association.
The Electoral Chairman said, “We want to be part and parcel of deciding our future. We would achieve that by revitalising FIBSA and other indigenous students’ associations in the zone and state at large.”
“Once again we appreciate the efforts of all the progressive stakeholders, too numerous to mention, but with due respect the electoral body really appreciates your efforts for making this election effective and successful. To those that had accident we wish you quick recovery”.

“We also appreciate the entire members of the electoral committee for their selfless services, we pray that Almighty God will reward us accordingly and we shall all meet at the zenith point of our dream”, he added.

The convention which had in attendance men of the DSS, Operation Burst, Amotekun, Civil Defense, Nigeria Police Force.
