Ibarapa Heir, Comrade Okegbenro Kabir Appointed as FOSSU Electoral Chairman

At the Senate seating of Federation of Oyo State Students Union (FOSSU) held on Sunday at the Federal College of Forestry, Ibadan, the Senate Council ratified the appointment of the former President of Federation of Igboora Students Union, Comrade Prince Kabir Okegbenro as Electoral Chairman.

Okegbenro Kabir is a student of Federal University of Technology, Minna. He hails from Igboora in Ibarapa Central Local Government of Oyo State.

Also ratified by the Senate Council were; Asiru Abideen (Ibarapa), Ajamu Mathew  (Ogbomoso), Tiamiyu Olayinka (Ogbomoso) Secretary, Ibrahim Olajide (Ibadan), Ogunola Olayemi (Ibadan), Jeleel Azeez (Oke-ogun) PRO, Adesope Femi (Oke-ogun) Member, Adeyemo Lukman (Oyo)

The Senate Council headed by Senator Isaac Ajadi from Ogbomoso constituency presided over the seating before the executives council was dissolved.

The electoral Chairman, in his acceptance speech said, “It is a big responsibility, It is history. Nobody from Ibarapa has been so privileged to serve as Chairman of the Federation of Oyo State Students Union Independent Electoral Committee”.

“And it is a responsibility I am going to discharge consistent with the oath of office I took”, Okegbenro added.
