Hijrah 1446: Okanlawon Felicitates Muslims, Urges Nigerians To Pray For Peace, Love, Unity

The founder and Chairman of Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF), Engr.(Dr) David Olusegun Okanlawon has sent warm regards to the Islamic worshippers in Ibarapa, Oyo State and Nigeria as they celebrate the new year on Islam calendar (Hijrah 1446H).

A statement on Sunday by the Media Aide, Adedokun Sunday Harshasha, said the Islamic new year serves as a period to reflect on the past encounters.

Okanlawon in his message expressed hope for a year filled with blessings for all believers, he encouraged the people to remain devoted to their prayers for peace to be restored.

He called on all the Muslim Ummah to uphold values of tolerance, brotherhood, respect, patriotism and goodwill to the nation and people around us.

The Ibarapa born philanthropist also encouraged Muslims to coexist peacefully with each other in the nation irrespective of their beliefs and faith, fostering bonds of unity, generosity, and mercy that harmonize humanity.

“Today, marks the beginning of a new year 1446H in the Islamic calendar, as we move forward, let us be guided by the ways and traditions of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and work together to build an egalitarian society which is prosperous for all.

“Wishing all Muslims a year filled with happiness, progress and abundant blessings. May Allah bless and protect us in Ibarapa, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large,” the statement said.
