As part of the activities mapped out for the celebration of this year’s FASU Week, the Federation of Ayete Students’ Union (FASU) organized Indoor Games featuring Ayo Olopon and Draught competition.
The competition, organized by the office of Sports Director, Comrade Muhammed Adeniyi (Buhari), took place at Ayete Motor Park on December 27, 2024.
In Draught category, Ojeyemi Teslim defeated Adediran Joseph to secure first position while Alabi Tunde emerged as second runner-up.
In Ayo Olopon category, Olaniyan Emmanuel came first, a young girl, Olusola Alimat came second while Jimoh Iskilu finished third.
While presenting prizes to the winners, the President of the Union, Comrade Saheed Olaosun congratulated them on the feats and appreciated other participants for displaying the sportsmanship spirit.
The FASU President extended his appreciation to the members of the association and the people of the community for their contribution towards the success of the Indoor Games Competition and their round-the-clock support to the advancement of the Union.
The Moderator and organizing Chairman of the competition, Coach Kabiru Ayanyemi, also appreciated all the participants and congratulated the winners in both categories.
The Indoor Games Competition is one of the numerous achievements of the outgoing administration.
FASU has reignited the spirit of sportsmanship in Ayete Community with the organization of series of sport activities, these include the active participation of FASU Football Club in the 2023 Ayete Football Competition, the organization of the FASU’s 2023 Ayete Inter-quarters Football Competition, the one-day football match for public secondary schools in 2024, and the recently conducted Indoor Games Competition.
