When the name of Eng. Remi Oseni, the member representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on FERMA came out on the list of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as a contestant for the House of Representatives, those who are aware of the resources God has bestowed upon him were not only surprised, they took the information with disbelief.
For this class of people, Remi Oseni should be contesting for the Governorship of the state.
Yes. They are very correct.
However, for the Ibadan born Engineer, his mission in politics is simply driven by the passion to serve the people and not for personal benefits or for self aggrandizement.
To the Glory of Almighty God, he is a ready made man by all ramifications.
When his political party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, lost the gubernatorial election, he promised his Constituency that they will not miss the attention and expectations of a Governor.
” For you, I will be your Governor”, he promised his Constituency.
As at today, Oseni has commenced and completed massive Road projects at Apete, Ologuneru, Omi Adio and several other areas in Ido Local Government.
He has equally started rehabilitation of Roads within Ibarapa East Local Government.
Work has started on the Road from Lanlate Old Garage to Itabo while the Gbolagunte junction to Isaba junction Road and four other Road projects would follow immediately.
Approval has been obtained by Oseni for the establishment of a Federal Specialist Hospital in Eruwa.
The proposed Hospital will sit on a three acres expanse of Land.
He has appointed over sixty aides in Ido and Ibarapa East, he has released the sum of a million Naira per person to a number of people within his Constituency to start businesses.
His interventions in respect of Education, social welfare and religious activities are too numerous to mention.
To his political party, he is an uncommon asset.
He was made Chairman of the Finance Committee for Ibadan outer city during the Local Government Election and his sacrifice in terms of donations transcends the Local Governments within the Ibadan outer city.
He recently donated millions of Naira for the smooth running of the State office of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
At the Federal level, his appointment as the Chairman of a sensitive Federal Agency like FERMA came as a surprise to many, considering the fact that he is a first timer but that clearly demonstrates the confidence the Leadership of the National Assembly reposed in him.
It is also a confirmation of a positive influence of Eng. Oseni amongst his peers and the Leadership of the House of Representatives.
A recent conversation between him and the Hon. Minister for Works does not only depict Oseni as a fearless personality who doesn’t shy away from saying things as they are, it also demonstrated his depth of knowledge of the environment he was assigned to serve.
At that instance, even his critics admitted that the man definitely knows his onions.
The passion that Eng. Oseni has brought to public service is novel.
His Agenda setting is unique.
His Charisma is not in doubt.
Who will not marvel at the speed with which he has gotten so much done in less than two years?
