Eid-El Kabir: EACOED Acting Provost, Oyewo Felicitates Muslim Faithful
The Acting Provost, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, Dr. Nelson Aderemi Oyewo has felicitated Muslim faithful and members of the College community on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el Kabir festival.
According to the College Ag. Chief Executive Officer, “Eid-el Kabir festival is highly symbolic to Muslim faithful. It shows the special love of the Almighty Allah to mankind as reflected in the replacement of Ishmail, Prophet Ibrahim’s son with a ram for sacrifice. There is no less a way of giving us love and peace than this and we must always give thanks to God Almighty.”
Speaking further, the Ogbomoso-born administrator urged Islamic faithful to use the occasion of Eid-al Adha Celebration to pray against the worsening insecurity problems bedeviling the country and for the restoration of peace to the entire nation. He further enjoined members of the College community to join his administration in restroring hope back to the College. “I urge our Islamic faithful to, in the spirit of the Eid-el Kabir festival join and pray for our administration as we jointly restore peace and hope back to the College. We cannot do it alone but with the support of the entire workforce of the College. With our collective support, I am sure our College shall continue to sustain her great name among other Colleges of Education in the country. May Almighty Allah accept our celebrations as act of ibadah during the Eid Kabir”, the renowned Guidance Counselor submitted.
According to a release by ‘Wale Adeoye, Special Assistant on Media Matters to the Ag. Provost, the College helmsman while wishing the Muslim Ummah a peaceful Eid-el-Kabir, filled with the blessings and benevolence of Almighty Allah further admonished the entire Emmanuel Alayande College of Education family to use the occasion of this year Eid-el Kabir celebration to rededicate themselves to charting the path of progress for the College on one hand and pray for the peace and progress of Oyo State under the leadership of our amiable Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde on the other hand.
