DOO Mentorship Program Unveils Third Cohort
The David Olusegun Okanlawon (DOO) Mentorship Program, a subsidiary initiative of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF) under the chairmanship of Ambassador Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon, has officially announced the commencement of its Cohort 3.0 Internship Program.
According to a statement issued by the management, the third edition of the internship will kick off on November 10, 2025, and run for a period of four months. During the program, selected interns will undergo intensive on-site training and departmental rotations designed to expose them to real-life engineering and surveying practices.
The management clarified that the DOO Mentorship Program is not an employment offer, but a developmental initiative created to engage young people from Ibarapa and its environs who are studying or have graduated in engineering and survey-related fields.
“The goal is to refurbish their curriculum vitae, brush up their professional skills, and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities within their chosen disciplines,” the statement explained.
The Foundation emphasized that the internship seeks to bridge the experience gap that often limits employability among young graduates, while also enhancing their technical competence and confidence in the workplace.
Interns, the statement noted, are expected to prioritize the learning opportunities and experience over monetary expectations. The management also cautioned that no luxury accommodation or unlisted incentives should be anticipated during the program.
To support participants’ welfare, the Foundation has budgeted ₦1.2 million to cover feeding for the four-month duration, while an additional ₦2 million has been set aside as cash appraisals to be shared among the ten interns alongside their certificates of completion at the end of the program.
Selected interns are also expected to demonstrate full cooperation with their assigned supervisors and maintain consistent attendance throughout the training period.
