Dimeji Ogunjobi Emerges Oyo South Representative, Southwest Youth Parliamant
The outgoing President of Federation of Ibarapa Students Association (FIBSA), Dimeji Ogunjobi was on Thursday inaugurated as a member Representing Oyo South Senatorial district at the Southwest Youth Parliament which was held at the Hallow Chamber, Ekiti state House of Assembly, Ado Ekiti.
The Southwest Youth Parliamant is an offshoot of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, that is modelled after the Nigerian Parliamentary System. The south west Youth Parliament comprising of 18 members representing each of the senatorial district within the south west geo-political zone, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti.
The South west youth parliament is a legislative and developemental training Institution, created to strengthen, reinforce and consolidate efforts and empowering young people through meaningful youth representation in driving south west developement.
Hon. Ogunjobi, however said in his speech, “I look forward working with the other Southwest Youth Parliamentarians to drive our Region and contribute to the development of South west at large. Nigeria shall be great”.
Dimeji Ogunjobi hails from Idere in Ibarapa Central Local Government of Oyo State.
The Southwest Youth Parliament elect Rt Hon. Temitope Joseph as the Speaker from Osun State.
