Court Sacks Executive Officers of Allied Peoples’ Movement
An Abuja federal High court has ordered that the office of all executive officers of the Allied People’s Movement be declared vacant due to their failure to organise a convention that will usher In democratically elected officers of the party.
Justice Donatus Okoronwo while giving judgement in the suit instituted by one Imuseh Ebere and Kukang Barine against the party and three others, ordered that the registered trustees of the party manage the affairs of the party for three months within which the National congress of the party must be conducted.
The court also ordered that the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC, supervise all congresses to be held and that a notice of 21 days be given to INEC on the conduct of the said convention.
