APC’s house of assembly candidate in Ibarapa East State Constituency, Hon Bayo Aderounmu, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 62nd Independence anniversary celebration.
In a statement, he personally signed and made available to reporters, he said the this Is high time we rededicate ourselves to everything about Nigeria.
The statement which read in parts;

Good People of Ibarapa East State Constituency,
Today, October 1, 2022, we are once again celebrating the anniversary of our independence after many years of torture and colonization from British colonial lords.
This is 62nd Anniversary, many of us joined the celebration and heard the stories of Independence and the aftermath.
As much as we witnessed a lot of hardship ranging from the economic situation, unemployment rates, insecurity and setbacks in the area of Agriculture but yet we still have to be grateful that the unity is still intact.
Everywhere across the globe, Independence day anniversaries are celebrated with fanfare, respect for the nation coupled with great sense of patriotism. Whatever that might have happened, the country remain ours, we are always proud of the glory therein.
Let us awake our consciousness and set a reformative approach which will change the way we act. We can serve our country by doing something good and positive in our homes, in our schools and in our communities.
We should celebrate all our military personnels who have been protecting the four walls of the nation, while we are sleeping, they weren’t, what we enjoy they don’t enjoy, they are putting in all their best to defend the country.
No doubt, there are many mistakes in the past, but this is high time we all have to rise against all odds, this is where the country starts, we have to rebuild it together. Let’s be conscious of the security in our constituency, employment for our youths and graduates, improvement in our agricultural sectors, provision of modern health facilities and manpower, facilitation of projects in our communities, if at all constituencies we are doing the necessary, we will definitely get it right, we have all it takes to get it right. Let us change our thinking to better Ibarapa East State Constituency.
Fellow Nigerians, next October 1, all things been equal, with your full supports, I hope to address you from the Oyo State House of Assembly. Then, I will be dishing out some of the things we have facilitated, achieved for the Constituency. Mind you, they will all be evident for everyone to see, you will see them around you. So help me God (Amen).
Let us patriotically reaffirm in our hearts that Christian, Traditional Worshipers or Muslim, we are one nation under God, North or South, we are one indivisible nation; either PDP, Labour, APGA or APC we are all Nigerians, and that what binds us together far outweighs that little which divides us.
As a constituent bond together, we must unite ourselves as indivisible, irrespective of political parties, religion, tribes and otherwise, we have to understand the fact that what binds us together far outweighs what little divides us.
In your various closest, pray and be more patriotic for a better nation, don’t forget, it starts from our respective homes.
