AOPE Governing Council Suspends Union Activities, Enforce No Work No Pay

The Governing Council of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa has directed the immediate suspension of union activities in the Polytechnic.

The Council has suspended two staff unions in the Institution, the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) and Non Academic Staff Union (NASU).

In a copy of the memorandum sent to SpyGist Media, said the suspension follows the review of the council decision on the union activities which held the institution to ransom by paralyzing all the activities on campus, decided that the two unions be suspended with immediate effect.

It was also added that Staff Attendance Register be opened in all offices for all categories of workers to sign while no work no pay be strictly enforced.

Earlier today, the governing council held an emergency meeting at the Conference room of Ministry of Education, Secretariat, Ibadan.
