Angry Youths Protest in Ibadan Over Killing of Young Boy

In the early hours of Wednesday, some youths in Ibadan protested over the alleged killing of a young boy.

The Youth blocked some roads at Mokola area of the state capital while burning tyres.

It was gathered that the teenager, whose name could not be ascertained, was allegedly killed by an operative of the Amotekun Corps.

Details of the death are still sketchy but sources said that the teenager, who is a printer apprentice, was sent to buy food when he was killed.

The protesters blocked the UCH- Mokola Road for a few minutes before moving to the Oyo State Secretariat in Agodi, where they blocked the road preventing workers from entering the secretariat.

“Amotekun killed one boy that was going to buy food, because he is a printer and they spent the night at their shop,” a source said.
