Ambassador Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon Felicitates Chief Adebayo Adelabu On His 55th Birthday
Ambassador Engr. Dr. David Olusegun Okanlawon, Chairman of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF) and Executive Director of Luli Construction Company, has extended warm felicitations to the Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, on the occasion of his 55th birthday.
In a statement issued through his Media Aide, Sunday Adedokun Harshasha, Ambassador Okanlawon described Chief Adelabu as a distinguished technocrat, visionary leader, and patriotic statesman whose contributions to Nigeria’s financial and energy sectors continue to inspire excellence and progress.
“Chief Adebayo Adelabu represents a rare blend of intellectual brilliance, administrative acumen, and political heritage. From his sterling career in the banking sector, where he rose to become Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, to his current role as Minister of Power, he has consistently demonstrated capacity, courage, and commitment to national development,” Ambassador Okanlawon stated.
He further commended Chief Adelabu’s transformative strides in the power sector, including the revival of the Siemens Energy deal, the expansion of renewable energy through international financing, the reduction of grid collapses, and the aggressive drive to close Nigeria’s metering gap. According to him, these achievements reflect Chief Adelabu’s dedication to building a stronger and more sustainable energy future for the nation.
Ambassador Okanlawon also highlighted Chief Adelabu’s deep political heritage as the grandson of the legendary Alhaji Adegoke Adelabu (Penkelemesi), noting that his legacy of service and leadership continues to resonate in Oyo State and across Nigeria.
“As Chief Adelabu marks his 55th birthday, I join his family, friends, associates, and well-wishers in celebrating a man of vision and impact.
