The House of Assembly Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ibarapa East State Constituency, Bayo Aderounmu, has admonished to the electorate in his constituency and beyond to vote for a competent candidate with good integrity.
Aderounmu said failure to vote for incompetent people would still result to another four years of poor representation, starving and insecurity while advising them to choose wisely.
The Assembly hopeful said this while meeting with some groups which adopted him and promised to vote for him in the coming election.
The leaders of the group were quoted to have said that they would put in their best to make sure Aderounmu emerges the winner for the Ibarapa East State Constituency seat at the State Assembly in 2023.
Aderounmu, however expressed his gratitude to the members of the group and promised to give them an effective representation.
He said, “I want to admonish my people, Ibarapa East State Constituents, let’s not be carried away while chosing the next set of people who will represent us for another four years.
“Don’t be intimidated, we are putting in all apparatus to secure the lives of the people. Am very confident that our security personnel will not allow intimidation and harassment of the people before, during and after the election.
“However, I can’t do it alone, we have roles to play together in erecting the Ibarapa East of our dream. Don’t allow them to entice you with money that they couldn’t spend for you over years, don’t allow them to deceive us again. Nothing has changed so far, what we have witnessed in the last three years and some months is nothing to write home about.
“The future is now, your vote is your right, come out in large numbers, mobilize and educate more people on the need to support the All Progressive Congress candidates at all levels, that’s the only thing that will bring progress for us as a Constituency.
“Voting the incumbents will bring no positive result, they have been tested but failed woefully, why then do we have to be deceived again? We need to liberate ourselves by coming out to speak with our votes.”
